Kwon Hosey is a Tampa, Fl native, recent graduate from The University of South Florida, and incisive writer and storyteller. While at the University of South Florida, he served on campus and in the surrounding areas in Tampa. He spent two summers in Chicago's inner cities performing vital work as a student and volunteer while navigating active neighborhoods and experiencing the city structures and systems at play, impacting marginalized communities first-hand.

After graduating from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, he’s allowed his passion for hip-hop’s creative puissance, authentic commitment to his faith, and zeal for wielding words with precision to guide him into writing and documenting the times.

As a writer, he tones his work with emotional earnestness, poise and concern, and curious commentary. He hopes to nurture communities of writers, create restorative spaces, and shift the narrative of hip-hop and black religion. He now resides in Tampa and works as a freelance artist who writes and collaborates to provide creative direction for projects. He also volunteers with LifePath Hospice, working with grieving families and children.
